How it works

How Libsy works

Libsy connects people across Egypt who want to sell what they no longer wear with people looking for something better than fast fashion. Here is the whole journey.

Sell in 3 steps

  1. List it for free

Download the Libsy app, photograph your piece, describe it and set your price. Listing is free and takes a few minutes.

  2. A courier collects it

When it sells, a Libsy driver picks it up at a time you choose in Cairo and Giza, and Bosta collects it everywhere else. Pickup is free.

  3. Get paid

Once the buyer has it, the sale goes into your Libsy wallet. You keep 100% of your price and can cash it out to a card, bank account or mobile wallet.

Questions

Frequently asked

How does Libsy work?

Libsy is a fashion resale app for Egypt. Sellers list preloved, vintage and designer pieces from their own wardrobes. Buyers browse the feed, chat with the seller, and buy in the app. Libsy handles delivery so the item reaches your door.

Is it free to list an item?

Yes. Listing is free, pickup is free wherever you are in Egypt, and you keep 100% of the price you set. Libsy takes no commission from sellers.

What does it cost to buy?

The price on a listing already includes Libsy's buyer protection fee: EGP 20 plus 10% of the seller's price. It pays for the quality check, the held payment and support. Delivery is a flat EGP 100 anywhere in Egypt. The full total is shown at checkout before you pay: a piece its seller prices at EGP 500 is listed at EGP 570 and costs EGP 670 delivered. One cost is not part of it: on orders paid from 1 November 2026, if you open a parcel at the door and hand it back, you pay the courier EGP 100 in cash for the trip back to the seller.

How do I get paid when I sell?

Once the buyer receives the item, the sale is added to your Libsy wallet. You can spend it on Libsy or cash it out to a card, bank account or mobile wallet, which can take up to 8 days.

How does delivery work?

Libsy arranges pickup from the seller and delivery to the buyer in every governorate of Egypt. Our own drivers cover Cairo and Giza; the other governorates travel with our delivery partner Bosta in both directions. Estimated delivery is 2 to 5 working days, a little longer outside Cairo and Giza. You do not need to meet a stranger or arrange your own courier.

Can I pay cash on delivery?

Yes. Card payment in the app and cash on delivery are both available everywhere Libsy delivers.

Is it safe to buy from a stranger?

Payment is held until the item is delivered, and every item is checked against its listing at the Libsy hub before it reaches you. If it does not match, it goes back to the seller and you are refunded in full, shipping included. You can also chat with the seller and see their profile and reviews before buying.

Can I return an item?

Not once it is delivered: all sales on Libsy are final, so check the photos, the description and the seller's reviews before you buy. If an item arrives significantly different from its listing, such as the wrong item or an undisclosed major defect, report it in the app within 24 hours of delivery and Libsy will review it. Some sellers let you open the package at the door and check the item before you keep it; the chat shows whether that is on before you pay. If you hand it back at the door, on orders paid from 1 November 2026 you pay the courier EGP 100 in cash for the trip back to the seller.

Can I cancel an order?

Yes, at no cost, in the app, until the item is picked up from the seller. After that it depends on the seller. If they allow opening at the door, ask Libsy support and the order is cancelled at no cost until the parcel leaves our hub for delivery; once the courier has it, handing it back at the door costs EGP 100 in cash on orders paid from 1 November 2026. If the seller does not allow opening at the door, the sale is final once the courier collects the item, and backing out counts as refusing the delivery.

What can I sell on Libsy?

Clothing, shoes, bags and accessories in good, wearable condition. Vintage, designer, streetwear and everyday pieces all sell well.

Which cities does Libsy cover?

Libsy delivers to every governorate of Egypt. Cairo and Giza are covered by our own drivers, the rest by Bosta.
