About Libsy

Libsy is an Egyptian app for buying and selling preloved, vintage and designer clothing. It started in Cairo in 2024 and now delivers to every governorate in Egypt, with more than 50,000 pieces listed by the people who own them.

How Libsy works

• Listing is free, and sellers keep 100% of the price they set. Libsy takes no commission from sellers.
• Buyers pay the listing price, which includes a buyer protection fee of EGP 20 plus 10% of the seller's price, and a flat EGP 100 for delivery anywhere in Egypt. Card and cash on delivery both work.
• Every sold item is collected from the seller and checked against its listing at the Libsy hub before it goes to the buyer. If it does not match, the buyer is refunded in full.
• Libsy's own drivers cover Cairo and Giza; Bosta covers the other governorates.

Who runs Libsy

Libsy was founded in Cairo in 2024 by Lara Soliman and Thomas Wieringa. Mohammad Samer, Head of Community, writes the Libsy blog and its guides to buying and selling preloved clothes in Egypt.
